Event Details
The lesson will go from 9:15 to 10:15 on February 9, 16, 23 and March 2.
This beginning series will emphasize lead follow technique, integrated body movement, and connection. It will cover foundational vocabulary and co-ordinating variations for multiple blues forms:
• jookin'/groovin' including shake'n'bake and side movement in week 1
• ballroomin' including walking and turns in week 2
• drag blues including transitions and more walking in week 3
• fun moves, counterbalance and more transitions in week 4
Brenda has been teaching blues, lindy hop, balboa, salsa, West Coast Swing and other dances for many years in Portland and at national events. She is a beautiful, creative and precise dancer with a particular passion for understanding and teaching body mechanics. We are lucky to have her teaching for us in San Francisco!
